The history of our office began in 1954 when founded by Erkko Virkkunen who led the office until 1986. Our present office , Virkkunen & Co Architects was re-formed and renamed in that year continuing and building on the base of the former. Overall we have over 50 years of experience covering the whole field of building allbeit with a bias towards the industrial sector with a special expertise in the field of power plant design and plannig.
Leadership and resources and junior designers
The present office has a leadership of 3 supported by both senior and junior designers. We use a range of design tools including AutoCad, ADT, VIZ, NavisWorks and PDMS.
We have a co-operation link in Sweden with Ahlqvist-Almqvist Architects.
Member of CSC-CONSORTIUM, Civil, Site and Commissioning services.
